What five albums would take with you to a desert island?
Simple Things - Zero7: downtempo retro-y sound. when I listen to this I feel myself instantly relax. I saw them at the Wonder Ballroom in 2006 and they were amazing.
Bach: The Cello Suites - Jian Wang: an amazing classical cellist from Shanghai.
The Best of Delerium - Delerium: I love this cd. it's a great mix of ambient, electronic and dance. they started out as more industrial/electronic and their earlier stuff is great too.
The Bends - Radiohead: this is their best album. my iron lung is my favorite track.
Speaking in Tongues - Talking Heads: I love this album. I've been listening to it since high school and never get tired of it.

San Francisco - I was born in San Francisco and grew up in a suburb of SF. It was a great place to grow up...multi cultural and progressive

What is your favorite charity?
I am currently a volunteer at The Portland Classical Chinese Garden. One of my favorite volunteer moments was helping kids make kites during the Kite Festival.

Fiction: I love science fiction and historical novels. One of my favorite authors is Isaac Asimov.
