Kim is the Chief Audit Executive for Texas Tech University System. She is a newly elected Director-at-Large of the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and is the past president of ACUA.
- Dr. K. David Roach, Ed.D, Texas Tech University System
David is an Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences and a Professor of Communication Studies at Texas Tech University. He is a past chair of the Instructional Development Division of the National Communication Association and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters.

This session will describe Texas Tech University’s journey though an institutional ethics movement involving faculty, staff, administration, and students. The ethics initiative began to meet the Quality Enhancement Plan requirement of TTU’s accrediting body—the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools—but has taken a life of its own to the entire campus through the passion and dedication of the people involved.
After listening to this webinar, you will take away ideas to impact ethics at your institution. We will discuss how ethics was chosen as a focus area, the people involved, what a difference the ethics initiative has made in various aspects of life at Texas Tech, and how the efforts of the groups will be sustained over the long term.

Speaker Biographies
Kimberly F. Turner, CPA, Chief Audit Executive Texas Tech University System
Kim is a newly elected Director-at-Large of the Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and is the past president of ACUA. Kim is also a participant in the CPA Ambassador Program jointly sponsored by the AICPA and TSCPA. Kim has been a speaker at conferences or seminars hosted by ACUA, TACUA, TSCPA, SCCE, NACUBO, and others. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Ethical Institution Task Force and is a member of the Texas Tech University Quality Enhancement Plan Steering Committee. She is a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lubbock program and is a past president or chair of the South Plains Chapter of TSCPA, Lubbock Meals on Wheels, City of Lubbock Audit and Investment Committee, and Lubbock Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta.
Dr. K. David Roach, Ed.D, Associate Dean Texas Tech University System
David is an Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences and a Professor of Communication Studies at Texas Tech University. He is a past chair of the Instructional Development Division of the National Communication Association and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters. He is also the co-author of a textbook on communication and training. David serves on the review boards for several national and regional research journals. He is a recipient of the National Communication Association’s Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award and the Texas Tech University President’s Excellence in Teaching Award. David serves as the Chair of the Ethics in Curriculum Task Force and is a member of the Texas Tech University Quality Enhancement Plan Steering Committee.
